Strix

Strix are a race of avian humanoids, sporting large black-feathered wings in addition to their arms. They have jet black skin and pointed ears. They live on the lower mountain peaks that are less snow-capped, in tight-knit clans. They were cast out of the realm of Sila for the sin of trust, engaging in trade with other clans. Upon hearing their condemnation and sentence, many strix lost themselves to despair. It is only through the efforts of Seraph Nelo that they were able to find the will to learn how to live in these new mountains.

This currency consists of bone rings cut from the femurs of humanoids. The most common form of leaving an inheritance is to will your legs to your inheritor.

Apothecary - Anastazy makes potions in his shop in the front room of his house of unpainted wood on a stone foundation.

Smith - Bruno makes armor and weapons with his apprentices in his open-air forge. The ringing of the hammer can be heard all over town.

Tailor - Ernest works primarily in plant fibers but other materials are available on request. Items that require fitting are also available on request.

Grocer - less of a shopkeeper and more of a trade facilitator between farmers, Jagoda can be found in her cellar cut back into the mountain when she isn’t out making deliveries.

Magic Shop - Julian sells wands and rings from inside pockets of his long black leather coat. He can be found loitering in the town square, usually snacking on something. Leave items with him for enchantment.

Temple - the temple was designed by Nelo to house and unify the strix while they were finding their footing in this new world. They continue their work at the temple, keeping a small office by the entrance and taking the time to greet every visitor.
