Rougarou

These wolf-headed humanoids have the ability to change into wolves. They have strong family bonds and are fiercely protective of their communities. They were cast out of the realm of Rou for the sin of selectivity, demanding the best of everything for themselves. The Rougarou by and large reject the idea that they did anything wrong by fighting for the safety and prosperity of their clans. The market-town of Ionraic is ruled by Reckoner Elspeth.

This currency takes the form of steel coins of varying sizes with different imprints.

7 rougarou face coins = 1 standard gold

Services

Apothecary - Beathag sells potions and spices from her canopy in the market. On non-market days she can be found working her garden in the yard of her thatched wattle and daub hut, though don’t expect a warm welcome.

Smith - Peadar has a permanent forge set up in the market square. His business is split mostly between tools and the jewelry he makes in his downtime, but he can be commissioned for weapons and armor.

Tailor - Fyfe makes the best clothes in town. People generally make their own everyday wear, but everyone has an outfit made by him for special occasions. He arrives at market with a platform for taking measurements, a notebook, and a chair, in addition to a bag of finished orders.

Market - Reckoner Elspeth maintains order in the weekly market. She may be sought for recommendations or directions to specific shops, and has an uncanny ability to appear behind thieves.

Magic Shop - Ayda keeps shop in a black tent draped in fine silver chains that appears in its usual spot when no one is looking. She sells staves, scrolls, and wands and is available for enchantment commissions.

Public House - Fiona is the cook and owner of The Weary Fang, selling bread and stew and renting rooms on the second floor.
